Hey everyone, I'm Laura!
I have been hairdressing for 14 years now and love my job! I used to live in a Tiny House with my Husband and dog Bailey, we built it together in 2019 (he built it, I did the decorating and sourced all our furniture secondhand!) and as a result, have adopted a more eco-conscious and waste-reducing lifestyle. We are now renovating a bungalow in the same fashion, using as many secondhand and recycled materials as we can, we love a project!
In 2020 during the first lockdown we built a mobile salon experience in a VW crafter, and the Tiny Salon was born. After 6 very successful years, we have decided to retire the mobile van and have since created a gorgeous and even more cosy salon experience at our home in Chandlers Ford. This being due to the fact we are expecting a baby in October!
I knew if I ever set up my own business as a hairdresser I would want to do my bit to cut down on the waste produced in the salon and promote eco-friendly brands in the UK that are also doing their bit for the planet. My new home salon in Chandler's Ford is following in the same fashion and all colour tubes, foil and even your hair are now recycled by the green salon collective.
I cannot tell you how exciting it is to be able to bring my new Tiny Salon dream to life and to share it with all of you! Since launching the mobile salon in July 2020, it has been a huge success and now, with the new set up at home, I have had nothing but positive feedback from all my clients! My client list is ever growing, and I am extremely grateful to every single client for keeping this dream of mine alive! Here's to the new and improved Tiny Salon Experience!
Meet Bailey
Bailey is my gorgeous pup and also my little salon helper!
He is extremely friendly, super soft and loves a fuss and a cuddle. Everyone that has met him so far loves him and says how well behaved he is! He's also proven himself to be a great therapy for those living alone, needing a cuddle or those who just love dogs and don't have one of their own.
A dog cuddle does wonders for the soul!

When my husband and I first met, he told me about his dream to build himself a Tiny House one day. I had no idea about the Tiny House movement until I met him, but a year later we built one! (if you don't know either look it up, they're so cool!) Our own Tiny House provided the inspiration for a mobile hair salon, and when the first lockdown struck, the Tiny Salon was born!

By the time we found the perfect van to convert, Boris had just announced when hairdressers could go back to work...this gave us exactly one month to build it!
Christian was still working as he was doing a house renovation by himself at the time, so we only had evenings and weekends to get the whole salon functional...safe to say it was down to the wire to get it ready in time!

The Mobile Tiny Salon that served me so well for 6 years! What a journey. I will forever be grateful to my clients for taking a chance on me when I told them that after covid I'll be cutting their hair in a van! Could not be prouder of what we achieved with this little salon in a van!
